Den perfekta kandidaten ska ha jobbat inom området, helst inom en MC-organisation och ha goda kunskaper om beslutsfattandet i EU. Personen ska ha goda kunskaper om media och kommunikation på EU-nivå, även utmaningar och möjligheter som finns i Europa. Personen ska kunna översätta komplicerade frågor till effektiva budskap som speglar Femas olika frågor.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and oversee our communications strategy.
  • Strengthen the network of members, partners and supporting organizations.
  • Draft, edit and disseminate FEMA publications, including speeches, presentations, press releases and news articles, newsletters and research and policies.
  • Press work (media monitoring, press relations, producing press releases, answering press enquiries  etc.).
  • Work in close cooperation with the General Secretary to develop messaging to support FEMA’s objectives.
  • Maintenance of the FEMA website, including content creation.
  • Daily handling of FEMA’s social media activities.
  • Play a lead role in internal communications for our international network of members (database management, internal information sharing etc.).
  • Developing and implementing campaigns to support FEMA’s objectives, as and when opportunities arise.
  • Responding to general information enquiries and other correspondence with members, network and general public.

Key Skills

  • Excellent understanding of communications for NGOs, including social media.
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of managing web content and databases.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience of producing clear, concise and credible material for publication (newsletters, editorials, press releases, speeches, presentations etc.).
  • Project management skills; proven ability to plan, deliver and report.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines, attention to detail
  • Fluency in English. Any other European language will be considered an asset.
  • Creativity; able to think laterally to devise new approaches and activities.
  • Proven experience of high-impact use of social media, press work and campaigning.
  • Strong website and social media management experience.
  • Experience in press and media relations.
  • Significant experience in a communications role
  • Proven experience communicating complex policy issues to multiple audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in copywriting, proofing and editing (in English).
  • Experience of presenting/public speaking.
  • Experience of developing and implementing monitoring, reporting and evaluations.
  • Able to work on his/her own and as part of a team, able to multi-task.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in graphic design, video- and photography.
  • Previous experience working on motorcycling issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant EU policies and EU decision-making.
  • Relevant previous experience working in EU affairs.
  • Experience with internal communications.
  • Sponsorship/fundraising and/or commercial experience.

General

  • Willing to work flexibly: occasional flexible hours and/or travel within Europe
